Who I am…

Connor Burns (he/him/his) is an educator and emotional wellness advocate based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I am currently in the clinical registration process for my Master of Counselling (RCC) program. My dynamic approach includes formal training in Dr. Sue Johnson’s Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Dr. Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry Method, Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), as well as methods inspired by somatic-based therapy approaches and person-centred therapy. While these tools can be helpful, I believe you already have all the wisdom and healing within.

Since early childhood, I have been on a path to deeply understanding the human condition. These inquiries have led to hundreds of hours of yoga and mindfulness training, meaningful volunteer opportunities with vulnerable populations, and more than a decade of experience working with at-risk and neurodivergent youth.

I am passionate about working with people from all walks of life. My experience has led to a distinct and unique approach. I explore a wide range of afflictions with a humanistic, direct, gentle, collaborative, compassionate and heart-centred approach.

I hold certifications in many modalities, including:

“Discovering the light. Honouring the shadow.”
